Kyra (my 10 year old staffie) has been coming here for her holidays for 9 years or so. She is well looked after although very please to see me when I come to pick her up. I can highly recommend these kennels.

The owner Denise is so lovely and caring, and the cattery so good, we have been using it for years. Our cat is 20 & she is really happy with Denise. 5 Star service.

Exeellent service and care, nothing was too much trouble. The staff were really caring and even took my elderly dog to the vet when he became unwell at no charge to me.
I found them to be flexible with drop off and pick-up times outside of their normal opening times. First class kennels, wouldn't leave my dogs anywhere else.

Please DO NOT leave ur pets here, the attitude and care is appaling, my 2 dogs atyed a week, one lost 1kg and had gastroeneritis, rushed to their vets with a £25 transfer fee and the other dog came bk with kennel cough! They both came home with fleas and when questioned I just got told it was all my fault and they must have got it all from home! The phone call was then ended because they had customers waiting and they refused to let me speak to any managers!Appaling, disgusting place, they neglected my dogs!

The owners seem to be more interested in taking your money than anything else.
We boarded our puppy here on 2 occasions, there won't be a third.
On the first occasion we were asked what he was fed on. I supplied 6 cans of his tinned puppy food. They decided to feed him on dried food, which he doesn't like and then attempted to sell me a large bag of the stuff when I collected him. He subsequently had an upset stomach for 3 days and I didn't get the food back that I supplied them with and they didn't use. He was dropped off at 10am on the Wednesday and collected at 4pm on the Friday. I was told that I would have to pay for 3 days as they charge for each 24hr period or part-thereof. Fine, no problem. Except when I went to collect him on the second occasion, their policy has apparently changed. He was dropped off at 12pm on the Tuesday and collected at 1120am on the Friday. By my reckoning, this is less than 72 hours so I should have been charged for 3 days. Apparently, its 4 days because they don't charge by the 24hour period, its now by the day or part-thereof, whatever generates most income at the time would seem to be their policy.
Also, I requested to pick him up on the Thursday night at 7:30pm and was told this was not possible even though I had to pass the kennels on my way home. Fair enough but pretty inflexible.
I would not say that the dogs are poorly cared for as I have no evidence of this. The care your dog receives would appear to be fine but the errors in feeding and dubious fee policy mean I will not be boarding my dog here in future.

Awful place - we collected my collie a day early and her paws were stained yellow and she stank of urine. I had to wash her twice to get rid of the smell. In the kennels they nicknamed her 'Stinkerbell' because they had neglected her so badly. They charged me £3.50 extra per day to brush her and she was matted when I picked her up. (no kennel has ever charged me since). Same with her treats - they were unopened. They toys I sent had to be thrown away, again stained and soaked in urine. I was shocked. It was my first experience of kennels. Pleased to say no others have been like this.

Boarded my 4 cats here in july 2010 they are usually spoiled rotten and they were really happy here. the runs are a wee bit curly round the edges and not exactly spotless but my babies were well looked after and came home happy. in a nice peaceful location.

Excellent friendly service & care to my dog when I had her stay there while on holiday in Turkey. Definitely will be recommending them to my friends & will use them again. And best of all, they don't charge the earth but get a lot in return! Very pleased.

Sid, our unruly Jack Russell, had such a good time at Atira Kin he was somewhat reluctant to come home. Having done the pre-visit we were happy we could leave him there and be sure in the knowledge he would be well looked after and genuinely cared for. We would definitely recommend Atira Kin for anyone looking for an alternative to a traditional kennel - and we got a lovely portrait of Sid too.

This is a great alternative to large commercial kennels. A real home to home feel and attention for my dog, she came home really happy. I recommend it to everyone who does not want to cause stress to their dog just because they have to leave them.

My Mother took her Scottie Dog here for one week when she went on holiday. When she returned she was told her dog was at the Vets. The dog had multiple fractures to his front leg and was told it had been caused by extensive trauma. The dog died following surgery. This dog was my Mothers only companion, she is elderly and lives alone and is now left heartbroken. The Kennel gave no explanation how this might have occurred and have not been in touch with my Mother apart from to send her a bill!

Excellent - run by a vet so really good news. Bootle leaps into the arms of the kennel maids!

Changed the price without telling us.
"Pay by the day" policy means you always pay for more than you use.
My dog had unexplained sores on her nose and diarrhea.
Not very impressed, and won't be back.
